We are always looking for dog walking and short term foster volunteers nationwide.

Nationally, The Cinnamon Trust helps over 150,000 people a year with over 158,000 animals and runs two home from home sanctuaries, we could not do this, without the kindness of our volunteers and supporters.

The Trust’s national network of volunteers help to dog walk for a housebound owner, foster pets when owners need hospital care, fetch the cat food, change litter trays or clean out the bird cage, etc. Any task that will help keep a pet and owner together.

Our animal loving volunteers go through a thorough but straight forward registration process. Our volunteer registration requires 3 referees, one of whom should be a professional person. The reason we ask for reference is that it gives extra peace of mind to the older people we help.  All volunteers are well matched with the owners and pets they help. This ensures that the volunteer/owner experience works well for everyone, but especially the pets!

Please join us as a volunteer, without you we cannot help!

Duke of Edinburgh’s Award Scheme

We welcome applications for the scheme, but we are unable to accept forms from anyone under the age of 16.  We need to ask that an adult registers and accompanies their child at all times. We have co-ordinators in the office that monitor the Duke of Edinburgh’s Award scheme and write up the assessors report when this is due.
