The Big Walk
Transforming the early May bank holiday Monday into a day of excitement and purpose. A day for celebrating The Cinnamon Trust, volunteering, and the joy of helping others. All while raising vital funds for charity.
Established in 2023, The Big Walk is an annual celebration of The Cinnamon Trust. The idea was simple: to encourage as many of our volunteers, supporters, pets and owners to gather and take part in a get-together and, for those able, a group dog walk around a local park or place of interest. A chance for volunteers to meet, and communities to celebrate the positive impact that The Cinnamon Trust has on the lives of thousands of older people and pets all over the UK.
Our aim is to get people talking about The Cinnamon Trust, show a presence throughout communities, and give local people the opportunity to learn more. Recruiting new volunteers and allowing word to spread to those who may need our help.
We felt that there was a real calling for an opportunity for our community to gather together. A chance for like-minded animal-loving people to gather as one, and a rare opportunity to meet other volunteers and supporters of The Trust. Along with our canine companions, we could all share in the good feeling that comes by making a difference and improving the lives of people and pets across the nation.
Year by year, more people have come forward and championed their own Big Walk. Our champions are the happy faces that greet others and have the pleasure of handing out goodie bags and dog bandanas to attendees. We would love for you to be apart of our next Big Walk and with your help, make next year the biggest Big Walk yet.

"We welcomed around 20 dogs and many more owners and friends to our Big Walk, walking a mile along the Felixstowe promenade. The dogs walked proudly in their bandanas and created quite a stir. It was a very enjoyable day for everyone!"
