For those of you who knew Bill Pringle, a former Friend of the Trust and Volunteer, we are very sorry to share the sad news that his beloved dog Tess has passed away at the age of 15.
When Bill sadly passed away last November, he left behind his lovely old girl Tess. Thankfully, Billβs good friend and neighbour Debbie was able to take Tess on, ensuring that she could remain in the familiar environment she knew and loved, surrounded by familiar faces, both two-legged and four.
It was a wonderful thing to do for an old girl, and Tess remained her happy, funny and wonderfully nutty self, although she missed Bill terribly for a while.
Bill and Debbie had been neighbours, but their friendship grew into something very special. Bill was a kind and thoughtful man, with a great love of good food, and as a former pub landlord and self-confessed foodie, he certainly knew his way around the kitchen. His friendship and generosity meant a great deal to Debbie, and it was clear how much they cared for one another.
Now, sadly, it is time for Tess to say goodbye too. She will be cremated, and her ashes will be placed with Billβs, so that these two lovely souls can be together once more.
Rest in peace, Bill and Tess. Two kind, gentle and much-loved souls who will not be forgotten. ππΎ
