The Duke of Gloucester visited the headquarters of The Cinnamon Trust in July to celebrate The Trust’s 40 anniversary and the unwavering service to older people, the terminally ill and their pets.

During the visit, His Royal Highness engaged in conversation with staff about the many facets involved in delivering the Trust’s vital support, and took time to personally greet trustees as well
as the volunteers and pets in attendance.

The uplifting and welcoming atmosphere offered The Duke a meaningful insight into the heart of the charity and the compassion connecting communities across the UK. Following the visit, The Cinnamon Trust’s CEO, Patrick Williams, extended an invitation to His Royal Highness to become a Patron, which The Duke has graciously accepted.

PATRICK WILLIAMS, CEO OF THE CINNAMON TRUST, SAID,

‘We’re honoured to welcome His Royal Highness The Duke of Gloucester as our first Royal
Patron. His acceptance marks a significant milestone for The Cinnamon Trust, recognising
the compassion and dedication that has shaped our work over the past 40 years. We’re
confident that His Royal Highness’s Patronage will help us extend our reach and support
even more people and their beloved companions.’

The Duke of Gloucester becomes the Trust’s first Royal Patron, joining long-standing supporter and fellow Patron Dame Virginia McKenna DBE and Sir Paul McCartney.
This Royal Patronage marks a significant moment in The Cinnamon Trust’s history, shining a spotlight on the vital support available, and the beautiful legacy that has helped thousands of people for the last four decades.
