For many, pets are beloved family members, trusted confidants, and companions in life’s everyday moments.

That’s why we help pet owners stay close to their companions by easing the physical challenges of pet care; all the while providing peace of mind by ensuring there’s a plan for their pets’ lifelong care if their companion is to outlive them.

With the compassionate support of thousands of volunteers nationwide, we offer hands-on assistance whenever pet care becomes a struggle.

Whether you need help walking your dog, taking your pet to the vet, or finding short-term fostering during your hospital stay, we’re here to lend a helping hand.

Dogs, tortoises, horses, or any pet you call family—you love them, and so will we!

A bit about our process

How it works

1

Tell us about yourself, your pet, and the support that you are looking for

If you are terminally ill or aged 65+, struggling with the care of your pet. Give us a call so we can learn more about you, and your pet(s).

2

Register yourself and your pet(s) with us

Now that we know a little about you and the type of support you are looking for, we will get you registered, taking in-depth detail about your pet(s) to ensure we find the right volunteers for them.

3

Using the information you provide, we will let you know how we may be able to support you

With you and your pet’s needs in mind, we will assess what voluntary support we are able to offer in your community and let you know how we may be able to assist you.

4

We are ready and waiting to lend a helping hand when you need us

Finally, upon your request, thanks to the kindness of our network of animal loving volunteers, we will introduce you to lovely local volunteers who can offer the support that you need.

Lady O’hagen (Devon)

I was worried about my sheep; I have raised them from lambs and they are a family. They come to me for their breakfast in the morning and we have a set routine. I couldn’t believe there was a charity that understood how I felt about them and that promised to care for them in the way I have.

Suki’s Story

After one of our walks, my phone rang, it was my GP informing me that my blood test results necessitated immediate hospitalisation and that an ambulance was on its way. I was in a total panic about what would happen to Suki.

I called The Cinnamon Trust who took control of the situation and sprang into action. Lovely Julie, the short-term fosterer arrived even before the ambulance to take charge of Suki. Suki had a wonderful time and was superbly cared for in Julie’s dog-loving home allowing me to recover without worrying about her wellbeing.

Ceridwen & Juanita with Bramble, Dyfed

My six-year-old daughter Juanita and I have begun volunteering to walk Bramble, a six-year-old Border Terrier. The fact that Juanita and Bramble are the same age was the first clue they would become friends!

When we first explored the country lanes together on a Sunday morning and people came out of the chapel, we realised Bramble is famous. He is a local legend who people fuss over without hesitation due to his sweet temperament.

Katherine & Percy, Wiltshire

Since my stroke in October, I am no longer able to go for proper walks with my four-year-old Jack Russell, Percy. He had gotten used to daily outings and the change in our lifestyle took its toll.

Claire, Alex and Nigel are such lovely individuals and they clearly enjoy taking Percy for his walks. He's used to the routine now and patiently waits at the designated time, eagerly looking out for their arrival.

The Circle of Giving

The Circle of Giving embodies our philosophy: we do not charge for our help, relying instead on the generosity of others.

This involves the kindness, time, commitment, and financial support of volunteers and supporters who keep our mission alive. Our work, though at no cost for those we help, is made possible by the heartfelt gifts of many.
