An important part of our work is finding loving forever homes for the pets entrusted to us through our Pet Profiling service.
During this thoughtful process, owners take time to tell us everything about their pet, and give us the rights needed to become their pet’s future guardian.
Thanks to their owner’s love and care, we learn everything about the pet—their diet, medical history, and unique quirks.
This crucial step ensures that, when the time comes, we can step in making informed decisions to find the ideal new home and ease the pet’s transition with as little distress as possible.
To uphold our promise of forever looking after their pet, and ensure they receive the best care, it’s required that we remain the registered guardian for the rest of the pet’s life. This is why we use the term “fostering.”

How do I become a Forever Fosterer?
Get in touch
Fill out our online form or give us a call on 01736 757 900 and let us know a little about yourself, your home, and the pets(s) you’d be interested in.
When a bereaved pet comes into our care, we thoughtfully review our enquiry list, and if we believe you’re the perfect match, we’ll get in touch.
Answer our call
If we believe you’re an ideal family and home for a new foster pet, we will get in touch. We will then paint a detailed picture of the pet, send you photos, and answer any questions you have to help you decide if you wish to offer them a forever home.
Get home checked
Should you say “yes” to our call, we will arrange for a volunteer to visit you at home and run through a few questions to ensure that your property is the perfect cuddle place for our forever foster pet.
Welcome them home
Once your home check has been passed, we will ensure the safe and timely transport of any forever pet(s) to you at no cost to you.
We will send ahead a comprehensive care plan and a welcome pack to help them settle in, as well as delivering every pet with their personal belongings.

Faqs
Fostering
- Does The Cinnamon Trust have an age limit for becoming a fosterer?
No, the most important thing is finding the perfect match for the pet and fosterer based on their needs and circumstances.
- I live in a flat, can I foster for The Cinnamon Trust?
To foster a dog, we require direct access to a secure garden. Flats may pass for cats or indoor pets.
- I work full time, can I foster for The Cinnamon Trust?
Yes, but this may limit your suitability for some animals that require more constant company.
- Does The Cinnamon Trust have a rehoming centre?
No, we do not have rehoming centres. Pets are placed in foster homes based on prior arrangements.
