Our no obligation free Will writing service

We are very pleased to provide The Cinnamon Trust Free Will Writing Scheme to our supporters.

We are able to offer this service with the help of two providers: The National Free Will Network and Elm Legal Services. The Cinnamon Trust pay a special rate to cover the writing fee of a simple, basic single, or mirrored Will.

There is no obligation to include a legacy to The Trust but of course we hope that our supporters will do so to aid us in recouping these fees. Between our two providers, our Free Will Service is available to residents of England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland.

Dr. Jenny McCann remembering her mother, Mrs. Gillian Saunders

We have always been an animal-mad family and cannot imagine life without pets. Your fabulous work will have been something that she would have been very proud to support.

We are extremely pleased that Mum left a legacy in her will – she left money to three other charities too, but I am pretty sure that The Cinnamon Trust will have been her favourite. We are delighted that The Cinnamon Trust will benefit from my mother’s estate and we know that the money could not be put to better use.

The importance of your gifts

Your support helps us maintain this vital connection between people and their pets, ensuring that love and companionship continue even in the face of adversity.

A gift from you will allow us to continue to hold hands with pet owners who need support in their community as well as the safety blanket that every bereaved pet deserves, as we have been for the last 40 years.

Faqs

The Cinnamon Trust

  • When was The Cinnamon Trust founded?

The Trust was founded in 1985 by Mrs. Averil Jarvis MBE, inspired by the heartache she witnessed when elderly and terminally ill pet owners were forced to part with their beloved companions.

  • Why are you called The ‘Cinnamon’ Trust?

Mrs. Jarvis said goodbye to her cherished corgi, Cinnamon, who passed away at 17 years old, close to the time of the formation of the charity. It seemed appropriate to name The Trust in her memory.

  • Is there a charge for any of The Cinnamon Trust’s services?

The answer is always NO! There is no charge and never has been, as all of the help that we put in place is on a voluntary basis and made possible by the ‘circle of giving’.

  • How is The Cinnamon Trust funded?

The Cinnamon Trust is funded entirely by gifts, donations, and fundraising. The lifeblood of The Trust are the volunteers, who offer their time and kindness at no cost and allow us to help thousands of people and pets at little to no cost to The Trust.

The Circle of Giving

The Circle of Giving embodies our philosophy: we do not charge for our help, relying instead on the generosity of others.

This involves the kindness, time, commitment, and financial support of volunteers and supporters who keep our mission alive. Our work, though at no cost for those we help, is made possible by the heartfelt gifts of many.
