Some of us simply do not have a trusted person ready to take on our pets, loving them as their own, if the worst should happen.
Under our lifetime guardianship, your pet will always be in a warm home-from-home environment, extending your love forever more.

We provide owners with a loving solution to make arrangements for their pet’s future in the event of a permanent move to a care home or unexpected passing.

By Profiling your companion with us, our promise to you is that your pet will receive all the love and fuss they deserve, either by finding them a new forever home or, if more appropriate, by welcoming them into one of our two home-from-home sanctuaries.

What makes us truly special?

We always provide home-from-home environments (no kennels or catteries), allowing your pet to thrive and be nurtured. All veterinary expenses and specialised diets are fully covered, ensuring the highest standard of care for your companion.
Plus, if you’d like, we’ll provide updates about your beloved pet.

Owner Support

  • What types of animals do you offer support with?

We will do our best to support any animal that you class as your companion pet. With the help of our network of animal loving volunteers, whatever challenge is effecting an owner’s ability to look after their pet, we will aim to overcome it. We have supported hamsters, budgies, horses, alpacas and many more. Not just dogs and cats!

  • Can I walk with a volunteer?

No, our support is intended for those unable to walk their dogs themselves. Owners are not covered by our insurance during volunteer walks.

  • How often can The Cinnamon Trust walk my dog?

We strive to provide 3 or 4 quality exercise walks a week where possible, depending on volunteer availability.

  • Can you walk my dog?

We offer dog walking to registered owners who are unable to provide exercise for their dogs on a temporary or long-term basis.

Whilst our practical help is available only to older people and the terminally ill, anyone can make lifelong provisions for their pet with us.

If you’d like us to welcome your companion to the Cinnamon Family, please read more about our Pet Profiling service and start making arrangements for your pet’s future.

Lady O’hagen (Devon)

I was worried about my sheep; I have raised them from lambs and they are a family. They come to me for their breakfast in the morning and we have a set routine. I couldn’t believe there was a charity that understood how I felt about them and that promised to care for them in the way I have.

The Circle of Giving

The Circle of Giving embodies our philosophy: we do not charge for our help, relying instead on the generosity of others.

This involves the kindness, time, commitment, and financial support of volunteers and supporters who keep our mission alive. Our work, though at no cost for those we help, is made possible by the heartfelt gifts of many.
