Every day, we connect pet owners and caring fosterers who open their hearts and homes to provide a loving place for pets while their owners receive medical care or recover.

Our goal is to ensure both pets and their humans feel supported and cared for until they can be joyfully reunited, offering comfort and peace of mind during challenging times.

It’s never too early to register your pet!

Registering your pet early is a loving way to prepare for the unexpected. Our thorough registration process gathers important details about your pet in advance so that if an emergency arises, we can swiftly and gently place them with a caring volunteer.

This ensures your pet experiences as little stress as possible, giving you peace of mind when it matters most.

We always make sure to stay in touch.

Whenever possible, we arrange visits, and if not, we keep the owner connected with regular updates, photos, and letters—ensuring they always feel close to their beloved companion.

Owner Support

  • What types of animals do you offer support with?

We will do our best to support any animal that you class as your companion pet. With the help of our network of animal loving volunteers, whatever challenge is effecting an owner’s ability to look after their pet, we will aim to overcome it. We have supported hamsters, budgies, horses, alpacas and many more. Not just dogs and cats!

  • Can I walk with a volunteer?

No, our support is intended for those unable to walk their dogs themselves. Owners are not covered by our insurance during volunteer walks.

  • How often can The Cinnamon Trust walk my dog?

We strive to provide 3 or 4 quality exercise walks a week where possible, depending on volunteer availability.

  • Can you walk my dog?

We offer dog walking to registered owners who are unable to provide exercise for their dogs on a temporary or long-term basis.

Joan and Kye’s Story

I profiled Kye because he has Fibrotic Myopathy. He is otherwise fit and well but I was worried that if anything happened to me and he went to a rescue shelter, they would put him to sleep.

The fact that The Cinnamon Trust pay all the vets bills is fantastic and means that he would always get the best treatment available

The Circle of Giving

The Circle of Giving embodies our philosophy: we do not charge for our help, relying instead on the generosity of others.

This involves the kindness, time, commitment, and financial support of volunteers and supporters who keep our mission alive. Our work, though at no cost for those we help, is made possible by the heartfelt gifts of many.
